"Newport Belle In Yaquina Bay" by Thom Zehrfeld
This is the Newport Belle, a floating Bed and Breakfast moored in South Beach on Yaquina Bay on the Oregon Coast! It is a sternwheeler riverboat specifically designed as a Bed & Breakfast Inn.
It was constructed in 1993 and is Coast Guard Certified although, they do not move the the riverboat from its mooring. It is usually closed during the winter months but, a very cool place to stay during the spring, summer and fall tourist season. Very unique!
In the background is South Beach Marina that moors a combination of pleasure boats and fishing boats. Newport and Yaquina Bay has the largest fishing fleet in Oregon. Also, in the background and, off to the left is the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Newport.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range(HDR) by combining three different exposures, and then incorporating the results into a digital painting.

Thom Zehrfeld lives in Newport, Oregon on the Central Coast and, is fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful spots in Oregon!
